"The Trax" bike park in Lordship Rec is a really exciting future planned off road mountain bike track in the heart of our town. It is part of a much bigger project to regenerate the park. Although the best bit of course is the bike track, lots of other cool stuff is happening like eco centres, cafes, a city farm.. and loads more.

Haringey Council look after the park and working with the friends of Lordship Rec and our sister site iBikeRide.com we did a community consultation and decided that what this new park needs is jumps, berms, more jumps, bit of racing, a pump track and a skills area like shore. Oh and more jumps;)

So iBikeRide.com have been doing some work with the best off road bike designers and architects to come up with  sweetest design for the bike park. We have decided to call it "The Trax....@Lordship" known simply as "The Trax" for short. The name just kinda felt right.

The plans and designs are at "Stage E" and have gone in for approval and when succesfull it will be time to hire the people to do the building. A draft design is above.

So for now to get us started we are forming a group here at www.thetrax.co.uk to create a North London off road community based around the existing dirt track in the Rec today as well as all the other great spots for riding in North london. Then as the project progresses and launches we will all be involved and united in strength to make this the best (the first of many we hope) urban off road Trax in the whole of London. Come join us
