Hello all

Live in London most of the time & just found this site. Looks great so will try and get up soon. Newish to MTB'ing (over having an MTB & riding around a bit) and no good at jumps or things like that so want to get my skills better so I can have even more fun than I do already on 2 wheels.

Try to get up hills (&down) as often as possible but Thetford Forest is my local haunt - not many mountains there... Did my first XC race a month or 2 ago, great fun and I feel another coming on

Agree, it's a shame we don't have more mountains around London, but hey, there is still an amazing number of places to ride within easy reach. In fact, I find the biking here better/more diverse than in many other places I've been to so far, maybe this is because there are few mountains and we just have to use what is available to play with and make the best out of it. Hence people come up with crazy ideas like eg building mountain bike parks in the middle of urban areas

Hi Puff, I'm new to London and really didn't think I'd be MTbing again hile I'm living hre but all the guys at the club have really opened my eyes to all the trails in and around London. Really excited about the group and can't wait for th next ride, hope to see ya there!
