I rode this track (the downhill black run) one whole weekend in 2007 with a great bunch of downhillers the Groovy Rockets (downhill offshoot of Groovy Tribe) I used to coerced into riding with. It's awesome and a different level of steepness and gnarlyness I had ever come across. We walked it first and Id recommend that strongly as you need to committ and know where you are going on this track. In all I rode it 8 times. When I get that fit again (you need a lot of stamina and recommend you only do it very fit) and find me balls again it be great to do it and see if I still can really. One of my mates broke their hip on the journey and was airlifted out and another their wrist, One messed up there nose and ended up in hospital with stitches (back for the final ride of the day mind) and these are all expert experienced riders. Wear full body armour which means full face, knee, ankle and shoulder, elbow pads, chest plate and something to protect your spine. Alternatively don't ride it. It takes no prisoners. The adrenalin will keep you pumped for approximately 12 months at least. Not tried the red but sounds awesome. The 7 staines is a gift from god.

The signs say that you need to wear full face to ride this track.... I thought I would warm up on the red run next to it ..... at the bottom I put on my pressure suit and pads and hired a full face just to do the red run..... well worth the journey, do the 7 staines while you are there
